DVD review : The Women & the Waves

Briefly:

The women and the waves is a documentary surf film that explores the lives of female surfers who, through the decades, have chosen to paddle head first into the male dominated sport of surfing and found a place on their own.

Review:

A surf documentary without sponsors and without bikini for sale that gives me a very good feeling.

Shot between California, Mexico and Hawaii, “The women and The waves” offers us something different.

We will find pictures of free surfer girls, professional surfer girls riding longboards and shortboards, skillfully ponctuated with interviews of these same women, their husbands, their friends and also some passionate people.

In short, beautiful shots, great landscapes and interviews that are worth a visit !

The message is clear surfing is changing. Less smile, less friendliness in the water. Come on girls, trying to lighten the mood of these gentlemen!
